Herm Sprenger Chrome Prong Collar

World renowned as the professionals choice , the HERM SPRENGER line of German Steel ROUNDED TIP martingale design collars. This collar produces an even pressured safe pinch for the most effective corrective dog training collar available. These affordable collars are polished chrome plated steel. The ends of the prongs are nicely rounded and not sharp. These collars are a great economical choice. The collar should be worn snug on the neck it should be fit just under the jaw right behind the ears.

These prong collars should not be used as a permanent collar. Used to help control a stubborn or unruly dog, but will not harm the dog if used properly. The prongs are blunt on the end and go inwards towards the neck of the dog. The collars will tighten under pressure and will release pressure instantly.

The collar should be worn snug on the neck it should be fit just under the jaw right behind the ears. Dogs should never be left alone or tethered wearing training collars. When properly fitted and used correctly prong collars are very effective and safe training tools. Sizing: When measuring your dog, measure around the neck behind the ears.

Option: You may add a Side Release Buckle to this collar. We have taken a standard, factory new, Herm Sprenger Chrome Plated martingale collar and removed the Ultra-Plus fastener plate and replaced it with an integrated all metal chrome side release buckle (quick-snap) held in place using latigo leather and chrome rivets. If you have difficulty opening and closing objects, our Slide Release Buckle Quick-Snap may be your solution. Instead of opening and closing the individual links of the collar, just unclip the Side Release Buckle and place the collar around your dogs neck and re-clip the Side Release Buckle. You will love the convenience.

WITH QUICK STRAP

Curogan is a copper-tin-alloy with a high copper portion and some additives which make the material strong - but without any nickel.

More often nickel is responsible for allergic reactions of sensitive dogs and causes of some skin rashes. Herm Sprenger advises that the Curogan will NOT rust because it is a copper/tin alloy and does not contain any iron, and only iron can rust. Curogan will darken and tarnish when exposed to the outdoor environment.

Many dogs exhibit sensitivity to the nickel in the stainless steel which is observed by a reddening of the skin where the contact points are touching the dog's skin. Our hypo allergenic contact points alleviate this problem and allow your dog to wear the collar without irritation.

The hypoallergenic do not contain the nickle that can cause irritation on certain breeds of dogs or dogs with sensitive skin. Because they do not contain nickle, these contact points may tarnish. The contact points can be easily wiped clean once tarnished.It is always best to use the shortest contact point that makes a reliable connection.

As with all contact points, do not leave the collar receiver on the dog for more than 8 to 12 hours at a time without a full inspection of the contact area.
